Brilliant Benefits, LLC 

Brilliant Benefits, LLC was founded in by Milagros “Millie” Carreño to fill the ever-growing gap in the need for qualified professionals to guide people through the numerous benefits they qualify for as they age.

Millie started her career as an independent insurance agent and financial planner. Many seniors she saw in her practice either did not start preparing early enough or did not plan at all for retirement. And, most importantly, they also were unaware of all of the “brilliant” benefits available to them as they reach their sunset years. This prompted Millie to start a company focused solely on helping people prepare and take advantage of the benefits available to ensure they enjoy their retirement. Today, Millie focuses her practice primarily on retirement planning (including annuities), Social Security benefits, the Medicare program, life insurance and long term care insurance.

Millie is a financial services professional licensed to offer products and services through various independent unaffiliated insurance companies. She considers herself a Medicare advocate.

Millie began her professional career as a Community Liaison for the Hillsborough County Children’s Board and Resource Centers. In 2012, Millie started a new career path in the insurance industry. Over the last five years, Millie has focused on serving customers and building long-term relationships. Her diverse background and training enables her to help clients pursue their long-term financial goals through comprehensive, individualized insurance and financial planning.

Attention to detail, good listening skills and great empathy are what clients appreciate the most. Millie is an expert in Medicare benefits, retirement planning, business protection, and lifetime investment products. Millie’s focus and leadership skills have inspired her to create financial planning awareness in her community. Her mission is creating solutions, solving financial problems, motivating and inspiring the emerging community to make better financial decisions, creating financial comfort.

As a civic leader, Millie has served as a Board Member for the Campo YMCA and the Hispanic Professional Women Association. She is also member of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce.

Millie is licensed in the State of Florida. She earned her BA Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. She is married to Jose Carreño and has two children; Lexian, 18 and Nicole, 11. Away from business, she enjoys traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.

LUTCF
Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow® or LUTCF® Professional Designation

Individuals that hold the LUTCF® designation have completed a program of study that includes 3 separate courses that focus on practice management, life insurance, insurance products, investment products, and risk management. Additionally, individuals must pass end-of-course examinations at the end of each course which test their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
